Popular essential oils to bid goodbye to cold sores
The infectious blister that sometimes grows on the side of your lips is popularly known as cold blisters. These cold sores or cold blisters not only hampers one’s daily lifestyle but is also very unattractive. Most of the people are unaware of its real cause, and almost the whole human population fails to understand that these appear mostly when a person is stressed.
Cold sores are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus (HSV). One of the popular cold sore treatments is by using essential oils. These natural and pure extracts help to get rid of the blisters, soothe the skin and at the same time, even combat the virus invasion. • Tea-tree oil
A straightforward and easy care solution can be made with tea-tree oil. Sometimes even applying two to three drops of tea-tree oil with a cotton pad acts as one of the beneficial and simple cold sore treatments.
• Sweet almond oil
This can be used the very moment a cold blister starts appearing. Sweet almond oil is mixed with tea-tree oil for the best result possible. But since it is quite painful, add few drops of lavender oil to curb the excruciating pain.
• Lavender oil
Lavender oil can be blended with tea-tree along with some apple cider vinegar to get some surprising results. This should, however, be applied directly to see the best results.

• Geranium oil
Geranium oil is one of the essential oils that has an instant effect on the blisters and is hence considered one of the magical cold sore treatments. Only a drop on the cotton ball, when gently rubbed over the blister, can cure it rapidly. Do not take more than a drop of this oil, else your skin will be charred and will turn blackish.
• Eucalyptus oil
This oil is helpful but needs to be blend with the same portions of bergamot, lavender, tea tree, lemon oil and then applied directly to the cold sore.
