10 Healthy and tasty low-carb snacks
Many people do not prefer a low-carb diet because there are hardly any tasty choices in this diet plan. There are, however, many low-carb foods that can be used as snacks, or meals. Consumption of these foods is very good for your health as these are naturally low in carbohydrates.
Healthy Almond Donuts “ This can be prepared with only four ingredients: honey, almond meal, baking soda, and eggs. These donuts are delicious to eat and its preparation is very simple.
Eggs – Including egg whites and eggs as breakfast is an excellent idea. You can keep your diet lively by eating duck or quail eggs.
Lean meat – An important staple food item is lean meat, which is also low in carbohydrates. Lean meat is good for health as it provides necessary proteins required for a healthy low-carb diet. The meat of bison, lamb buffalo and deer meat can also be consumed but make sure they are not treated with growth hormones.
Tortilla wrap “ Make a mix of salad dressing with your favorite veggies, lemon juice, and some baked beans and add a dash of cheese. Take a tortilla sheet, roast it on a pan and make a wrap with this mixture. Include this in your low-carb diet chart and make sure to have it in your weekly menu.
Braised tofu “ Cut tofu into square shapes. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a skillet, add the tofu and season it with black pepper, soy sauce, salt, and garlic.
Dark chocolate and almonds “ Melt some chocolate and create a sheet of this melted chocolate. Add a few pieces of roasted almonds, kosher salt and let it cool.
Nachos and Salsa Verde “ In a jar, take a bunch of basil or whichever herb you like. Add a few pine nuts, lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Add a tomato or onion, if you like, and make a paste. Have this delicious salsa with crispy nacho chips as a low-carb snack item.
Coconut bread “ Bake a loaf of bread with coconut flour, baking soda, eggs, salt, and sugar. Have a slice of this bread whenever you feel low in energy.
Cucumber boats “ Cut long slices of cucumbers; add a dash of lime juice on it. Chop some tomatoes. Before serving spread a spoonful of mayonnaise on these cucumbers, and add the tomatoes.
Toasted almonds “ Toast some nuts, with a seasoning of your favorite spices and lime juice. It’s a great Italian-inspired snack item. Pack it in a tissue paper and take it wherever you go for a quick bite. Toasted almonds make for the best low-carb diet for weight loss.
